Queniborough Road, Barkby - Urgent repair works
The County council are returning again to repair the highway on Queniborough Road where a couple of weeks they "repaired", but whilst doing so created a speed hump, which has very little signage to alert people.

The Parish Council have purchased some spring bulbs for the village, so Thank you to all those who have helped plant them around the village in different locations... let's hope for a lovely show in the spring!

Mud on footpath on Main Street
Just to let you know that the increasing mud on the footpath near Jack's bridge and near the entrance to Barkby Hall has been reported as it is not acceptable that people should have to step out onto the highway to pass by.

Cemetery Water
The Parish Council apologises for the lack of water at Barkby cemetery, however we have had a leak with the tap. We think/hope! that this is now resolved for visitors to use the water tap.

Thorpebury extends onto Hamilton Lane
Currently the only ways in and out of Thorpebury for the increasing number of resident
car owners are via Barkbythorpe Road and the construction vehicle route via Hilltop Road
